The new year started off with a new city for me: I moved to Toronto! I love this city and I’m so happy to be here! The apartment that I’m currently living in with my boyfriend is temporary until we find the perfect place for us. But over the last new months we’ve been collecting some beautiful pieces to decorate our modest apartment (by modest I mean tiny). We’re both from Eastern Europe, we love travelling and we love art so those are the main things which inspire us. I do plan on eventually doing a complete tour of my apartment but for now here are my favourite pieces. Hope you find something inspirational in this post.
This beautiful vase is handmade in Bulgaria (my home country) and the pattern is very traditional. I love the modern colours with the traditional style! Pottery is one of the oldest crafts in Bulgaria- here is the artist’s website: www.bulgarianpotteryandgifts.com/
Ikea candle holder that I use for my brushes and my jewellery box
I got this beautiful bench brand new from craigslist and the parisian poster is from eBay (Ikea frame). I’m so in love with this whole combination! (and yes I do plan on hanging the picture up one day!)
I found these wooden clogs in a thrift shop. Surprisingly it’s the second pair that I find in 2 different Value Village stores. You really don’t need to spend a lot to decorate beautifully! Just takes time to find the right pieces
This Picasso poster is from the Art Gallery of Ontario. The original painting is called “Girl Before A Mirror”. (Ikea frame)
My boyfriend brought this handmade wine holder back from Romania.
Believe it or not but I picked up this incredible Salvador Dali poster pretty much from the trash! A friend was going to throw it out and of course I stopped him. In the summer of 2011 I visited Barcelona and we drove all the way to the Dali museum in his home town of Figueres. This poster always reminds me of that amazing experience.

Love your parisian poster! it’s stunning. Also using a ikea candle holder for your brushes – GENIOUS! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
